Protecting A Tech Mogul’s Assets Before Divorce

Salient Strategic was contacted by an attorney partner to investigate the safety of a child in a situation where custody was awarded in part to the client’s ex-wife.

Our client, a well known tech mogul, reached out to us with suspicions of infidelity. His concerns regarding the potential for court ordered division of assets during divorce were well founded. The client’s wife was doing very little to hide her affair, with the knowledge that infidelity is generally irrelevant in divorce cases in their jurisdiction.

While our client’s wife thought she had all the answers, she overlooked one fatal flaw. We identified the lover, analyzed the situation and got to work immediately. We conducted surveillance, documenting their activities together. The flaw in her plan? Cohabitation. Because they were carrying out a relationship as “husband and wife”, our evidence helped prove her regular use of his assets and his ordinary financial support for her.

The client’s wife was awarded no support, and was successfully sued for using her husbands money to buy gifts for her lover without consent.
