Complex Interstate Custody Case

Salient Strategic was contacted by an attorney partner to investigate the safety of a child in a situation where custody was awarded in part to the client’s ex-wife.

Our investigation started by documenting the subject’s history through police records and interviews. We developed evidence of substance abuse and and unsafe household. This was helpful, but we wanted more.

The coupe de grâce came when digging into her new boyfriend, an ex-felon with a violent drug conviction – something the court could not ignore. Because they were living together, the totality of the circumstances pushed the decision in the favor of our client.
