investigation

Protecting a client’s bank account through an infidelity investigation.

A client reached out to us with suspicions of infidelity, and concerns regarding the potential for support payments. The client’s wife was doing very little to hide her affair, apparently because she knew that infidelity isn’t illegal in New York. Our client is a very successful entrepreneur, and it was obvious his wife was anticipating the divorce and a subsequent support payments.

While our client’s wife thought she had all the answers, she overlooked one fatal flaw. We identified the boyfriend, analyzed the situation and got to work immediately. We conducted surveillance, documenting their activities together. The flaw in her plan? Cohabitation. Because they were carrying out a relationship as “husband and wife”, our evidence proved her regular use of his assets and his ordinary financial support for her.

The result?

She was awarded no support, lost her marriage, and was subsequently sued for using her husbands money to buy gifts for her boyfriend without consent.
